Election day is on the way! Does the person you’re voting for have your best interest in your future educational plans?
As many of you may know, we are down to our final months to try and figure out who has our vote . With many of the speeches given by the two candidates on their views on war, street and gang violence, and how to deal with racial problems in America, there are many things to consider. As students on our way to the next level, it’s in our best interest to see what our next president has in mind for our future, and to the parents, your child’s future.
“As president, I will establish the national goal of providing school choice to every American child living in poverty. If we can put a man on the moon, dig out the Panama Canal and win two world wars, then I have no doubt that we as a nation can provide school choice to every disadvantaged child in America.” Donald Trump had announced .This is pretty self explanatory on his goals for the “children living in poverty .”“You know what a gun-free zone is to a sicko? That’s bait….I will get rid of gun-free zones in schools. You have to.” I honestly believe this makes a school unsafe but it is your choice to decide .
“Most charter schools—I don’t want to say every one—but most charter schools, they don’t take the hardest-to-teach kids. Or, if they do, they don’t keep them. And so the public schools are often in a no-win situation, because they do, thankfully, take everybody, and then they don’t get the resources or the help and support that they need to be able to take care of every child’s education.”Hillary stated . She is looking forward to helping public and charter schools . “I fully support President Obama’s plan to make community college free.” Secretary Clinton states. But, on the other hand she does have a great idea in mind for the ones who want to go to college but can’t exactly afford it.
With the thought about who has you or your children’s future at its best interest for you, who will you be voting for this November ?
