Bored during lunch, or want to play a game after school ? If yes, I have the perfect place for you.
During lunch, anyone is welcomed to play video games, hangout, and join the Gamer’s Club in Mr. McDole’s room . However, our lunch time is very limited, so there is another place after school.
DVD Avenue , 901 N La Brea Avenue, Inglewood CA is looking for new people to come and play games. I’ve visited this place , and they are loaded with video games .
Have you ever wanted a game, but wanted to try it out first to see if it was worth buying? Here you can come and play the game, without purchase . They have Ps4 games, Ps3 games, Wii games, and Xbox1 games . They don’t just have games though; they have movies, gaming equipment, and snacks. They have arcade stick type : Madcatz Te s, Hori Rap 4 Kai , Madcatz te R1 and more.
When you enter, you can either just watch people play games for free, pay $2 for 30 minutes, or pay $5 for the whole entire day. Yes, any game you want to play, you can play for as long as you want. Well, until closing time.
They are open every day, except on some special occasions, from 11am-9pm. They have tournaments every weekend. Monday is for Street Fighter Five tournaments , Thursday for Smash tournaments , where you can win prizes .
I talked to some students who visit, as they like to call it, “Danny’s Place.”Here are some of their responses:
” The atmosphere is really nice, the people are friendly, and it’s a good place to chill out after school. They won’t make you feel bad if you are not good at a game, or are a newbie, but when you do get better, then they’ll tell you if you suck or not.” – Devyn Nettles
“It keeps me off the streets”- Jose Haro.
” It’s so great there, I love being there.” -Carlos Aldona .
“I love the sense of community and the level of skill of some of the regulars . They always provide the best equipment as well.” – Matthew Richards

I personally loved it there. It’s a perfect place to hang out with your friends, play games, and learn how to get better (well, for me at least.)
