For the past 8 years, the United States has had the pleasure of having Barack Obama as our President. If you’re my age or about my age, you were in about the fourth grade when Obama first stepped into office.
Now that he & his family are preparing to leave, it feels like our country is losing something it so badly needs: a president who stands for ALL of his citizens, and genuinely wants the best for our country. The era of Obama is coming to an end (not going to mention his current replacement), and now is an excellent time to think back on some of he and his family’s most significant accomplishments.
2008 – Barrack Obama becomes the first African American man to be President of the United States
2009 – President Obama makes it a point to bring our troops home, succeeding almost entirely.
2010 – Michelle Obama begins her healthy food campaign, cutting down on child obesity nationwide
2010 – President Obama enacts The Affordable Healthcare Act, fulfilling his promises to make health insurance affordable for everyone.
2011 – President Obama orders Osama Bin Laden’s death and proceeds through with it
2015 – President Obama passes the Gay Marriage Law, allowing equality throughout the US
