The Marias is a band featuring Maria and Josh Conway. Their music is a mix of pop and indie music, with repetitive beats and hypnotic sounds. “I Don’t Know You,” the first and only single released by the band speaks of the troubles couples have along with personal experiences they’ve faced as married. The Marias is a very melodic and smooth band, which is my number one recommended band.

Clairo is band made up of Claire Cottrill. Started in 2013, Claire draws from different musical backgrounds, but her most popular is a mix of dream-pop and funk vibes, which results in the one-women band called “Clairo.” One of her more recent songs is entitled “Pretty Girl,” from Le Sigh Vol. III, is sarcastic, but is masked by dreamy strings that remind you of 80s shoe gaze bands.

Kid Bloom was established in Los Angeles and have, so far, released two singles. Their latest release, “I Kissed a Girl, and She Kissed Me,” starts of with an ambient sound that and progressively draws in listeners. The vocalist, Kloser, has smooth, almost mesmerizing, vocals. Each fuzzy guitar riff, and R&B sound adds a new layer to the song, making listeners forget that this song was released in 2016 and not a decade earlier.
